Loc maintenance & style

Locs, locs, locs!!!  Had a blast with this inspirational, motivational loc-doll.  Truly on the path of success. She knows God is #1 & with him all things are possible.  I'm telling you, expect great things from this one. Follow @unabridged14.

DEEP CONDITIONED, RINSE, WASH :
Step 1. Deep conditioned with Trader Joes (TJ's) Moisture balance Conditioner. Smooth each loc from root to end until hair is fully coated/ saturated. Cover hair with plastic cap. Leave on for 15 minutes.
Step 2. Lightly rinse conditioner from locs with cool/warm water.
Step 3. Due to waxy build up of a beeswax product she previously used, washing was necessary, next.
Step 4. Apply TJ's Moisture balance shampoo to hair, focusing on scalp.
Step 5. Repeat step 4.
Step 6. Rinse shampoo from locs thoroughly.
Step 7. Microfiber towel blot hair or t-shirt blot hair  ( I don't use regular bath towels because they over dry the hair and can leave little lint balls.

 STYLING & STYLING AIDS
Step 1. Begin sectioning hair to get set for the maintenance portion. Start by making a part that extends from ear to ear. Section top portion off for later.
Step 2.  Begin with locs at the bottom of head (nape).  Part each individual loc with hair clip & smooth hair down from root before applying product.
Step 6. Apply a small dab of Mygel by Joie naturals to the root.
Step 7. Retwist loc, then palm roll loc from root to end.
Step 8. Clip down loc at root, midway, & end with hair clip.( necessary for locs still in locking stage).  Repeat.
Step 9. Time to re twist front sectioned off portion.  Repeat steps 6-7. Apply a squirt of water& olive oil for dampening ( if needed).
Step 10. Continue to apply a dab of Mygel to root, twist, & clip down loc.
Step 12. Allow hair to dry mostly. (Airdry or dryer)
Step 13. Remove hair clips
Step 14. Apply small dab of EVOO to scalp.
Step 15. Time to style. Twist bottom left, right, & middle up into 3 rolls meeting at the middle of head.
Step 16. Twist front section to the left side, stopping midway. Allow rest of hair to hang down on the left side.
Step 17. Apply setting lotion, begin rodding front/left side section, 1 loc per rod for maximum curl definition.
Step 18. Sit under dryer until locs are dry. Remove curl rods.
