Loc Maintenance & Style

Here she is again...my "Loc Princess".  I can truly say that I'm finally noticing growth now & so is she.  She says " I can't wait til my hair is down past my butt" lol.  I just think... " yeah, you'll be styling that yourself, Chica" lol.

WASH, CONDITIONED & RINSE :
Step 1. Wash with TJ's Tingle Tree shampoo mixed with TJ's Nourish Spa Balanced Moisturizing Conditioner. Smooth each loc from root to end until hair is fully coated/ saturated. Massage scalp.
Step 2. Lightly rinse shampoo/conditioner from locs with cool/warm water.
Step 3. Microfiber towel blot hair or t-shirt blot hair  ( I don't use regular bath towels because they over dry the hair and can leave little lint balls on her locs)

 STYLING AIDS & STYLING
Step 1. Spray hair with a few pumps of water & extra virgin olive oil mix & Shea Moisture Define and Shine on hair, smoothing all over.
Step 2. Begin sectioning hair to get set for this style. Start by making a part that extends from ear to ear. Section top portion off for later.
Step 3. Begin with hair in bottom portion at nape of neck. Part each individual loc with hair clip & smooth hair down from root before applying product.
Step 4. Apply a small dab of Mygel by Joie naturals to the root.
Step 5. Retwist loc, then palm roll loc from root to end.
Step 6. Clip down loc at root with hair clip. Repeat. Complete bottom portion.
Step 7. Time to retwist front sectioned off portion.  From right ear up across to the left ear, retwist each loc, applying a squirt of water& olive oil for dampening if needed).
Step 8. Continue to apply a dab of Mygel to root, twist, & clip down loc.
Step 9. Allow hair to dry mostly. (Airdry or dryer)
Step 10. Remove hair clips
Step 11. Time to style. Start with twist at nape first. Twist individual locs from left to right side, stopping at ear & pinning in place.
Step 12. Twist front section from left to right side, stopping midway. Allow rest of hair to hang down on the right side & front.
